Support the well-being of women and those close to them, Epiderma Partners with the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation
Québec, September 10, 2018 ― In keeping with its goal of contributing to women’s well-being, Epiderma is proud to partner with the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation as part of its annual campaign this year. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Epiderma will contribute twenty dollars to the Foundation for each selected treatment package sold at one of its 23 clinics in Quebec between October 1st and 31st, 2018.
“By teaming up with the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation for the first time, we are delighted to place the full force of our network at the service of this cause, which is particularly close to our heart. By being as exposed as we are to this issue, that affects our clients and those close to them, we know how critical each action taken to fight breast cancer is,” says Epiderma’s president, Pierre Montminy.
For the leader in medico-aesthetic care, this initiative is part of its efforts to continuously carry out philanthropic activities alongside its full range of services to help women. Laser hair removal, cellulite treatments, body contouring, skin peels and microdermabrasion packages are the treatments selected for this Epiderma campaign.
“We are delighted that a company of Epiderma’s size is contributing to the success of our awareness campaign to support people affected by breast cancer and their families,” said Nathalie Tremblay, President and CEO of the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation.
In 2017, more than 6,500 Quebec women were diagnosed with breast cancer and 1,300 succumbed to it. This is the second leading cause of death from cancer in women. The highest rate of breast cancer affects women aged 50 to 69. Since the deployment of the Québec Breast Cancer Screening Program and through research, mortality from breast cancer has decreased. Early detection improves the chances of survival and access to more effective treatments.
Driven by the desire to provide a personalized, professional and safe service to its clients, Epiderma provides anti-wrinkle injection treatments, skin peels and microdermabrasion treatments, varicose veins, couperose, skin tag and cellulite treatments, body contouring, laser tattoo removal, as well as offering an exclusive range of specialized cosmetic products. It has over 225,000 clients and has performed over 2.2 million treatments to date. Founded in Quebec in 2000, Epiderma quickly became a leader in medico-aesthetic care. With 23 clinics, the company employs over 140 people across Quebec and Ontario.
