With the evolution of technology, Epiderma has established a virtual clinic to offer remote aesthetic assessments with a medical aesthetic technician. To learn more about this innovative experience, we spoke with Christina, a medical aesthetic technician in the Epiderma network. She explains what a virtual evaluation involves, the benefits of this service, and shares her recommendations for the winter season.

How does an informational session or an evaluation appointment work through the Epiderma virtual clinic?

Christina: “After scheduling an appointment online, the client receives a link via email. By clicking on this link, they directly access our video conferencing platform, where I welcome them for a complete evaluation. I take the time to provide all the necessary information about the chosen treatment, and if the client is ready to proceed, we can schedule appointments and make payments securely.”

How can clients schedule an appointment for a virtual evaluation?

Christina: “It’s very simple! Just go to the Epiderma website and click on ‘Virtual Clinic.’ Then, in the ‘Schedule an Appointment’ tab, select the virtual clinic, specify the treatment you’re interested in, and indicate your availability. You will receive an email a few minutes before the meeting with a link to join the video conference.”

What are the benefits of a evaluation via the virtual clinic?

Christina: “The main advantage is that you don’t need to travel. You can have your consultation from the comfort of your home, securely and privately. It’s also much more flexible and convenient, as you can easily find a slot that fits your schedule. Additionally, there are special promotions for those who book through the virtual clinic, such as a 30% discount on several packages. Current promotions are also available through the virtual clinic.”

What treatments do you recommend for the skin with winter approaching?

Christina: “With the change of season, the skin often becomes drier and struggles to regenerate against the cold. That’s why it’s important to consult a medical aesthetic technician to assess your specific needs and advise you on products suitable for your skin type. A microdermabrasion treatment is ideal during this time. It’s an exfoliating treatment that removes dead skin cells using a jet of microcrystals, allowing the skin to better absorb active ingredients and stimulate cell regeneration.”

What advice would you give to someone considering aesthetic treatment for the first time?

Christina: “I always recommend starting with a consultation with a medical aesthetic technician. This allows for assessing the skin’s needs and selecting the most appropriate treatment while addressing concerns and recommending suitable products based on skin type.”
