Dr. Mardinger has always been driven by a passion for promoting health and preventing diseases. In 2014, she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences with honors from the University of Calgary, as part of an intensive, multidisciplinary research program. This program explored the social, political, and economic factors influencing the health of individuals and populations.
After earning her medical degree from the University of Calgary, she moved to Montreal to complete her family medicine residency at the Jewish General Hospital, an experience marked by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2022.
Alongside her residency, Dr. Mardinger nurtured her interest in medical research by completing a Master’s in Medical Sciences remotely at the University of Calgary. Her thesis focused on improving surgical quality and demonstrated the use of innovative software to automate the tedious tasks of scope reviews.
