At Medicart, our mission is to enhance the natural beauty of our clients, while listening to and respecting each individual. But we want to do more. As a community-minded company, we are passionate about giving back to the community through fundraising and awareness for charitable causes.

In recent years, we have supported and given a voice to several causes specifically affecting the well-being of women and their families. Here are 10 of them:

The Lise Watier Foundation is a philanthropic organization committed to changing the lives of women in need in Quebec. Driven by the desire to give them back their pride, to help them take charge of their lives and to build a future that matches their aspirations, the Lise Watier Foundation has been working every day since 2009 to promote the financial autonomy of Quebec women.

Day after day, the Foundation’s team is driven by the same vision: a future without breast cancer. Its goal is to improve the survival rate and quality of life of people affected by breast cancer. For more than 25 years, the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation has placed the people affected by breast cancer and their loved ones at the heart of its mission through research and innovation, support and awareness.

Fillactive is a Quebec-based charity whose mission is to get teenage girls moving through physical activities that allow them to develop and move towards a long-term healthy and active lifestyle. With the help of its community, the organization transforms each activity offered to girls, including the Mother/Fillactive Relay, into memorable moments.

With a desire to offer hope of a recovery to people affected and their loved ones by neurological or mental illness or addiction, the CERVO Foundation mainly funds discovery and innovation aimed at better understanding the brain, while contributing to promising initiatives in terms of care and teaching.

Organized by students enrolled in the Bachelor of Public Communication program at Université Laval, Epiderma presents the largest annual fashion show in Quebec City, featuring Quebec designers. In 2021, for a second consecutive year, all proceeds will be donated to Project L.U.N.E. (Free, United, Nuanced, Together).

The Maman Urbaines et Confettis virtual event celebrates the woman behind the mother and honours their need to do things differently by raising funds for the Centre de pédiatrie sociale de Québec et des Appalaches. The event pledges that every ticket sold is a donation directly linked to a project that enables caregivers to provide appropriate care to vulnerable children.

Together, ovarian and endometrial cancers are the fourth leading cause of cancer death in women in Canada. The main objective of the McGill University Health Centre Foundation’s DOvEE project is the early detection of these cancers by providing eligible women with rapid access to specialized medical examinations.

Project L.U.N.E. (Libres, Unies, Nuancées, Ensemble) has as its main mission to offer homeless female sex workers and drug users a safe, high-threshold shelter in Quebec City. All women are welcome, regardless of their history, background or experience.

As the oldest Canadian orchestra, the OSQ has always been closely linked to the events that have marked the history of Quebec City and participates in many events of national and international scope. The mission of the OSQ Foundation is to receive and administer donations and bequests through funds to support the Orchestra’s activities.

Founded in 1988, Opération Enfant Soleil is a non-profit organization that raises funds to support the development of quality pediatrics for all children in Quebec. Since its creation, more than $273 million has been donated to major pediatric centers, regional hospitals and organizations throughout Quebec.
