QUEBEC CITY, December 29, 2022 – Epiderma is pleased to renew its commitment to the next generation of estheticians by awarding, for the fourteenth consecutive year, two scholarships to students enrolled in an esthetics program. Unique in the industry, the Epiderma Esthetics Scholarships are designed to help two apprentices further their education in esthetics as well as increase their opportunities for a rewarding career in the industry.
“It is a source of pride for Epiderma and the entire Medicart network to see two young women persevere in an exemplary manner through their training to perfect their expertise,” says Jacinthe Blais, president and chief operating officer of the Medicart network. “Encouraging the next generation to take the best training is the key to ensuring aesthetic services that will always remain at the forefront of industry practices,” adds Ms. Blais.
This year’s Epiderma Aesthetic Scholarship recipients are:
Catherine Desgens, who began a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) in Esthetics in 2021 at Centre de formation professionnelle 24-Juin in Sherbrooke. Driven by a natural curiosity and gifted with interpersonal skills, Catherine chose to go back to school to pursue her passion for aesthetics. She loves making a positive difference in the lives of others, and the Epiderma team wishes her the best in her future career path!

From nail art to waxing to skin care, Juliette is a self-taught person who loves to learn. Welcome to the business, Juliette!
The scholarships offered to the two winners are valued at approximately $3,275 each and consist of a one-day observation internship in a clinic, an underarm laser hair removal package, a microdermabrasion treatment, a full line of Medicart cosmetic products, $1,250 in cash and a career opportunity at Epiderma.
