How often can you receive a Clear + Brilliant® treatment?

A series of 3 to 6 sessions is generally recommended, depending on your skin’s needs and the desired results. Treatments should be spaced 3 to 4 weeks apart. This treatment can be done year-round, as it is suitable for all seasons.

How does the treatment work?

Before starting the Clear + Brilliant® treatment, photographs are taken to document the initial condition of the skin and allow for monitoring of results. The skin is first thoroughly cleansed and then disinfected with alcohol. A numbing cream is then applied to reduce discomfort. After rinsing and drying the skin, protective goggles are placed on the patient.

The treatment begins with the laser applicator being passed over the targeted area. The laser is activated to deliver energy to the surface of the skin. It is normal to feel slight tingling, warmth, or some discomfort—signs that the laser is working effectively. At the end of the session, a post-treatment care product is applied to promote skin regeneration.

A Clear + Brilliant® session typically lasts between 30 and 60 minutes, including all preparation and treatment steps.

What are the recommendations before a treatment?

– Stop using retinol and products containing AHA/BHA at least 4 to 5 days before the session.

– Avoid sunburn and excessive sun exposure.

– Make sure your skin is not irritated or sensitive on the day of the treatment.

– Avoid exfoliating your skin in the days leading up to the treatment.
What are the recommendations after a treatment?

– Avoid applying makeup, creams, or doing intense exercise within 24 hours after the treatment.

– Do not apply ice or cold directly to the treated area.

– Avoid using exfoliants for 2 weeks.

– Cleanse your skin with a gentle cleanser and apply soothing products such as Vivier’s Derma-V moisturizer or SkinMedica’s HA5 cream.

– Apply a mineral sunscreen every day.
What side effects are possible after a treatment?

– Temporary discomfort: A sensation of warmth or mild localized pain may occur, usually lasting from a few hours to a few days.

– Redness and swelling: Common after the treatment, these can persist from 12 hours up to 2 days, depending on the intensity of the procedure.

– Itching: This is normal and part of the healing process.

– Acne flare-up or milia: Small white bumps or cysts may temporarily appear and will disappear on their own.

– Sunburn-like sensation: A mild burning feeling may be experienced after the treatment.

– Dry skin: The skin may become drier for a period of 4 to 14 days.

– Temporary pigmentation spots: Darker spots may appear temporarily, usually lasting 4 to 14 days.

Recovery time is minimal. Most clients resume their normal activities the day after the treatment.
Who should not receive the Clear + Brilliant® treatment?

The Clear + Brilliant® treatment is contraindicated for certain individuals, including those who:

– Have used Accutane (isotretinoin) within the past 6 months

– Are at high risk of developing keloid scars

– Have suspicious or undiagnosed skin lesions
