Medicart Corporation, Quebec’s new leading brand in the medical-aesthetics industry, is proud to announce the appointment of Julie Bédard, LL.B MBA, as President, effective March 2, 2020.

Seasoned lawyer and project manager, Ms. Bédard is a dedicated businesswoman with experience in finance, philanthropy and SME governance. Prominent member of the Quebec business community and a leading figure in women’s entrepreneurship, she was the first woman to hold the offices of President and Chief Executive Officer of the Chambre de commerce et d’industrie de Québec.

Pierre Montminy, the head of the Epiderma brand and architect of the Medicart concept, stated that “I am counting on Julie to dynamically and confidently orchestrate the deployment of the Medicart banner with the implementation of our large-scale strategic plan in synergy with our team. As I am approaching retirement, I believe that the time has come to hand over control and ensure the future of the company I have created, and I fully trust Julie to take over the reins.”

Medicart has found in Julie Bédard a motivating, inspiring and determined manager with the experience necessary to further the company’s development by drawing on the values and operational culture that drive it.

“I intend to fulfill the mission entrusted to me to lead Medicart’s future and to carry on with the expansion of the network alongside the competent team and board of directors. I have the advantage of joining an organization with well-established roots and promising prospects. It is with great enthusiasm that I intend to take up this challenge,” asserts Julie Bédard.

During the transition period, Ms.Bédard will report to Pierre Montminy, co-owner of the company as well as President and Chief Executive Officer. As of her first day, she will join the Medicart Corporation board of directors, chaired by Éric Phaneuf, CEO of the Montreal investment firm Walter Capital Partners.

Under the medical direction of Dr. Michèle Ohayon, Medicart is a network of clinics dedicated to professional beauty and wellness services, which specializes in aesthetic medicine, dermatology and phlebology.
