The Medicart network, which includes Epiderma’s 31 clinics, Medicart esthetic dermatology, Medicart phlebology and Medicart vein clinic would like to reassure its clientele regarding the rigorous health safety protocol that has been in effect since its re-opening in June.

In fact, our clinics have implemented protective measures worthy of any hospital and none of our 34 clinics has experienced an outbreak since the start of the pandemic.”
In addition to the many guidelines applied at each of its clinics, Medicart is pleased to provide its clientele with its new Virtual Clinic, available starting October 1. This Virtual Clinic gives Medicart clients the option of obtaining an appointment for an online information session with an expert technician, right from the comfort of their homes. The Medicart Virtual Clinic also allows clients to review the professional and personalized advice they received at their own leisure and access the related documentation that the technician has placed in their own virtual file—another practical and user-friendly way to work more efficiently and limit face-to-face contact whenever possible.
The following is a list of the guidelines that must be respected throughout the Medicart network:
- Only customers with appointments are authorized in the clinics.
- To be permitted to visit the clinic, clients must meet certain pre-established criteria and cannot be accompanied.
- While an in-person evaluation is still possible, clients can have their pre-treatment evaluation done by phone or online if they prefer.
- As of October 1, the new Medicart Virtual Clinic enables clients to book an appointment with an Epiderma technician and, following their appointment, have access to the advice and documentation at any time.
- When they arrive at the clinic, clients are required to answer questions concerning their health status and have their temperature taken using a no-contact forehead thermometer.
- The reception desk must be shielded using a protective barrier.
- Clients are invited directly into the treatment room or asked to remain in the waiting room only when the 2-metre distancing protocol can be scrupulously respected (specifically, when there are no more than 2 or 3 clients at a single time).
- Clients must clean their hands using sanitizing gel whenever they enter and exit the treatment room, as indicated by the technician.
- All personnel must wear personal protective equipment including a visor, mask and gloves while treatment is being administered.
- Clients must also wear a mask for the entire duration of their visit.
- All treatment rooms are carefully disinfected for each client—the frequency of cleaning has been increased and all surfaces are disinfected using 70% alcohol upon each client’s arrival.
- Payment by bank card (Interac) or credit card is preferred over cash.
- Unnecessary handling of objects that are not required as part of the treatment is to be avoided through the removal of such items (magazines, brochures and demo products).
- Follow-up consultations must take place over the phone or through the Medicart Virtual Clinic.
- Internal staff training must be done remotely.
