Summer is FINALLY here and excitement is running high!Synonymous with adventures, vacations and sunshine, the summer season is the perfect opportunity to enjoy each day to its fullest potential, but in a season that often leaves room for criticism of your body, it’s easy to give in to those messages. Nevertheless, it’s your summer and you deserve to enjoy every moment. Focus on actions that will make you feel good about your body and mind. Here are some tips on how to do this:

Stick to your healthy habits, but…

Even though the vacations are coming up, don’t completely let go of your healthy habits by stopping your physical activities. Forget about unrealistic goals and focus on exercises that will make you feel good about yourself. Since it’s summer, why not put on your best swimsuit and swim a few laps in the pool or go for a hike on the beautiful hiking trails that Quebec has to offer? Have a good workout!

As Isabelle Huot wrote in the last issue of the magazine: “While fruits, vegetables, whole grains, white meats and fish, seeds and nuts are certainly healthy foods, there is also room to indulge in foods that may be higher in fat and sugar, but only occasionally and, above all, without guilt. “So while on vacation, maintain a healthy diet to maximize the effects of medical-aesthetic treatments, for example, but also leave room for a few comfort foods.

Water is your best friend.

As the weather warms up and we spend more time outdoors, one of the best natural ways to stay healthy and energetic is to drink enough water. In fact, it’s one of the most natural ways to achieve a glowing and healthy skin. For a refreshing twist, add lemon, cucumber or any of your favorite fruits and vegetables to your water.

The must-have sunscreen

We can’t say it enough: we should wear sunscreen 365 days a year. During the summer season, it is all the more necessary! This way you can avoid premature aging of your skin or serious diseases such as skin cancer.

Sweet dreams

Even as the days get longer and the nights get shorter, it’s still important to cultivate a sleep routine that will help you feel refreshed the next day. A good night’s sleep has many beneficial effects on the skin, including less visible dark circles.

Above all, the most important thing to do this summer: RELAX! Vacations are for relaxing, recharging and freeing yourself from the stresses of everyday life. Take advantage of these moments to do things that make you feel good and be ready to come back strong when the vacations are over.
