The CML 2.0 Fashion Show, organized by students in the Bachelor of Public Communication program at Université Laval, donated the record sum of $20,000 to Projet L.U.N.E. during a ceremony that was held at the Jardin Jean-Paul-L’Allier on June 14.

For the third year in a row, the largest annual fashion show in Quebec City, which held its 17th edition this year, was able to count on the support of the Medicart/Epiderma network, a Quebec company that is a leader in aesthetic medicine and phlebology in Canada.

“The Medicart/Epiderma network has been a proud supporter of the CML Fashion Show for the past three years,” explained Julie Bédard, President, Chief Operating Officer, Medicart Corporation. “We are delighted to donate, in collaboration with the CML Fashion Show, a record amount of $20,000 to Project L.U.N.E. It was the students of Université Laval who made the CML Fashion Show such a success once again.”

The Projet L.U.N.E.’s Mission

Project L.U.N.E. (Libres, Unies, Nuancées, Ensemble) is a non-profit organization in Quebec City that recognizes and defends the social rights of all women, including trans and queer women, sex workers, victims of sexual exploitation, in distress or homelessness, while offering them a safe and diversity-friendly place to live in order to improve their quality of life.

The CML 2.0 Fashion Show edition in brief

On May 14, the CML Fashion Show showcased the creations of eight graduates of the Notre-Dame-de-Foy Campus Fashion Design program. The 40 models, all students in the Bachelor of Communication program at Université Laval, wore the creations of sixteen Quebec designers.
