Laser Hair Removal Session Process

Discover the process of a laser hair removal session at Epiderma. Each treatment begins with a personalized assessment of your skin and hair type.

The area is then prepared, and the laser is precisely adjusted to ensure an effective and comfortable treatment. Laser pulses are applied methodically to ensure complete coverage of the treated area.

Post-treatment care is then provided to optimize comfort. From the very first sessions, the skin appears visibly smoother and long-lasting free from unwanted hair.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Discomfort varies depending on individual sensitivity, hair density, and the treated area. Most clients experience a sensation of warmth or mild tingling.

Some areas may be more sensitive, but sensations are usually brief and tolerable. For sensitive individuals, a numbing cream may be applied for added comfort, and a soothing balm can be used after treatment.

To achieve an average 80% hair reduction5 to 6 sessions are typically required, spaced about 6 weeks apart.

The exact number depends on:

  • Hair density
  • Treated area
  • Skin phototype
  • Hair growth cycle

During the evaluation:

Do not shave. Hair must be visible to properly assess density and structure.

Before the treatment session:

Yes, shaving the area 24 to 48 hours before treatment is recommended.

Shaving:

  • Facilitates laser penetration
  • Reduces surface overheating
  • Increases effectiveness on the hair follicle

Important:

Avoid any hair removal method that pulls hair from the root (waxing, electrolysis, epilator) 4 weeks before treatment.

During the treatment series, use only shaving.
