How does the Skinbooster treatment work?

The treatment begins with a personalized consultation to assess the skin and establish a tailored plan. On the day of the session, photographs are taken to document progress. The area is carefully cleansed and, if necessary, a numbing cream is applied for added comfort.

The product is then injected into the superficial dermis using micro-injections with a fine needle. Each session lasts an average of 20 to 30 minutes.

The treatment is generally well tolerated and allows for a quick return to daily activities. After the session, it is essential to follow the post-treatment recommendations provided at the clinic.

How many sessions are needed?

An initial protocol usually includes 2 to 3 sessions spaced 3 to 4 weeks apart, followed by maintenance every 6 to 12 months to sustain the results. The exact number of sessions depends on age, skin type, and individual goals.
When will I see results?

A boost in hydration and radiance can be noticed within the first few days. However, optimal results appear gradually, usually after 2 to 3 weeks, and are further enhanced after the second session. The skin then looks visibly smoother, softer, and more radiant.
What should I do before and after the treatment?

No specific preparation is required.

After treatment

As long as there is local redness, avoid:

Prolonged sun or UV exposure (unless using sunscreen with SPF 45 or higher).

Possible side effects and discomfort:

– Apply ice (wrapped in a cold, damp towel) or a cold compress for 10 minutes every hour if you experience redness, swelling, or temporary itching at the injection sites.

– Do not apply ice beyond the first 24 hours.

– If symptoms persist for more than one week, please contact us.

During the first 24 hours, avoid:

– Applying makeup on the treated area.

– Touching or putting pressure on the treated area.

– Engaging in intense physical activity.

– Consuming alcoholic beverages.

– Prolonged exposure to the sun, heat, or extreme cold.

– Palpating or massaging the treated area.

Following treatment:

It is normal to feel small lumps during the first four weeks after the injection. If these lumps persist beyond four weeks, please contact us.
Is there an alternative to Skinbooster?

Skinvive (Allergan/Juvéderm) is an interesting alternative. It is a hydrating injectable specifically designed to smooth and hydrate the skin of the cheeks in a single session, with visible results lasting up to 9 months.

Skinboosters (Galderma), on the other hand, generally require a protocol of 2 to 3 sessions to deeply improve hydration, elasticity, and skin texture on areas such as the face, neck, décolleté, or hands, with effects lasting up to 12 months.
